Kip Casey Couldn't expect this to be much more airy and clean, no limit to perfection i guess? One thing is still bothering me: no more songs? I don't believe that there is nothing to sing about anymore. Miss the songs so much
But anyway, this album is extremely ethereal. Always loved the dark stuff like "Cold Sea", "Phobic Sea", almost whole "Divinian" album, and especially goosebumpy "Nífara" and "Circinus", so i instantly got interested in "Tethys Ocean"

ethereallad Eocene is a tapestry of echoey treated guitars, heartbeat-like rhythms and ghostly voices. Too tranquil to be "just" shoe-gaze pop, too dark to be New Age, this atmospheric mini-album has the perfect balance of tension and delicacy. Like a spiderweb resiliently holding its shape beneath an onslaught of rain.

There are few things as beautiful as the live recording of "Mediterranean" that appears on this release, a perfect blend of vocals and lightly strummed acoustic guitar, five and a half minutes of aural bliss. I was never lucky enough to see Love Spirals Downward live, but this release fills that gap nicely, a document of what was surely a wonderful performance by wonderful artists... rikm
